The Bug Farm

Directions from the East/South (Haverfordwest)

Follow signs towards St Davids on the A487.  Once you reach St Davids you will come to a roundabout (The Oriel y Parc visitor centre is on your left and the High Street of St Davids is ahead of you) turn right at this roundabout to follow the Glasfryn Road. At the end of the Glasfryn Road you will come to a T junction with a Premier Inn on your left. Turn right and follow the A487 for approximately 1 mile. After 1 mile, the road goes slightly down hill and bends sharply to the right. Just after the right hand bend our track is on the right. It is signed with two black beetles on fence posts. Follow the track down and turn left into the car park.

Directions from the North (Fishguard)

Follow signs towards St Davids on the A487. Approx 5 minutes after you pass through a small village called Croesgoch you will pass through an even smaller village called Carnhedryn. Continue straight on, and after few miles the road goes slightly down hill, our track is on the left just before the road bends to the left. It is signed with black beetles on fence posts. If you go past the white house on the bend, you have gone too far. Follow the track down and turn left into the car park.

Mode of Transport

Car

We offer free car parking to all our customers. There is a tarmac area and grass parking areas. The grass is fitted with vehicle friendly grass-mesh. Both surfaces are wheelchair accessible. There may be queues for the car park on busy days. We also have a fast charge electric point available.


Bike

Anyone arriving to The Bug Farm via bicycle can receive a 10% discount on entrance.


Walking

The Bug Farm can be accessed by the public footpath that runs through Lower Harglodd Farm. Anyone arriving to The Bug Farm on foot can receive a 10% discount on entrance.

Our nearest train stations are:

Haverfordwest (17 miles away)

We accept coach parties if booked in advance. We have designated coach parking.

Amenities

Dogs

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome at The Bug Farm, but some areas are restricted. Please note that there is no shaded parking available. Please take dog waste home with you.
Assistance dogs are welcome in all areas.

Accessibility

The Bug Farm is largely accessible with a tarmac carpark, wide doorways, wheelchair-friendly thresholds and no steps. The main areas are surfaced in concrete, with a stone dust path in the Walled Garden. There is a fully accessible toilet and ambulant toilets. The Farm Trail is a mown grass path. The Fairy Path wetland walk is not suitable for wheelchairs. Please call us on 07966 956357 for more information.
