To guarantee entry, book your entrance ticket online in advance of your visit, even if you have a season ticket.
*Disabled or supported individual pay standard admission but this includes free entry for one registered carer. Proof is required and accepted documentation includes Carers Recognition Card, PIP letter, DLA award, Blue Badge with photo ID, or letter from GP with photo ID

All dates are subject to change. In some cases the site is FULL due to large group bookings and we cannot take any extra visitors. Details of these dates are listed below.
May 2026 changes to regular opening times:*
Sat 23rd May FULLY BOOKED all day. No space on site.
Sun 24th May FULLY BOOKED in the morning. OPEN from 1:30pm – 4:30pm. Grub Kitchen serving drinks and cakes only. No Lunches.
Sat 30th May FULLY BOOKED in the morning, OPEN from 1:30pm – 4:30pm. Grub Kitchen serving lunch from 1:30pm – 3:30pm.

2026 Opening times
The Bug Farm and Grub Kitchen opening times are 10:30am – 4:30pm. Last entrance to The Bug Farm is 3:15pm.
Food is served in Grub Kitchen 12pm – 2:30pm and 12pm – 3:30pm during Welsh Easter and Summer Holidays. Drinks and cakes are available all day.
Grub Kitchen operates on a first-come-first-served cafe basis and does not take bookings. If you would like to eat at Grub Kitchen only, you can turn up as a walk-in, but please be aware that preference is given to Bug Farm customers on busy days.
There may be days in which we are fully booked with groups which may impact our standard opening hours. Ideally, do book your entrance ticket online in advance of your visit to avoid disappointment.
