The greatly anticipated farming memoirs from Dr Sarah Beynon’s late father, St Davids Welsh Black cattle farmer, John Beynon, launches at The Bug Farm at 2:30pm on Saturday 20th June for Father’s Day weekend, with short talks and John’s go-to of jam sandwiches, Victoria sponge and a cup of tea.

Published by Welsh publisher ‘Y Lolfa’, it has been described as: “An ordinary yet extraordinary historical memoir of farming and country life over the last 90 years”.

The launch of Hay Days will be held in the farm’s Pembrokeshire Farming History Museum, which is based on the book and all are welcome to join.

The 12-foot long Beynon family tree will be on full display for the event, alongside John’s historical farming memorabilia.

Those attending the launch do not need to pay to come to The Bug Farm and will have the opportunity to browse the Pembrokeshire Farming History Museum. Booking in advance is helpful, but not necessary!

‘Hay Days’ is currently available to pre-order from The Bug Farm’s online shop. Copies will then be available from 20th June from The Bug Farm’s gift shop and online shop, as well as in book shops across Wales and further afield.

For more information about the book, please see the ‘Hay Days’ press release.
