This ticket gives one person entry into our extremely popular Up-Close Meet the Bugs session.

These sessions are only bookable during the Welsh Easter, May half term and Summer holidays. There are often additional spaces available on entry. Outside of these periods, they are offered on entrance instead. 

Please only book the session online at least 2 hours before the session starts. Any bookings after this time may need to be re-funded on entry, as we will fill the session with walk-ins after this time.

 Please read the information below before booking:

  • This session, led by one of The Bug Farm team, consists of a 30-40 minute learning experience about some of our bugs, during which you get to meet a variety of tropical insects and hold them if you wish. The ‘holding’ part is completely optional and not essential!
  • If you would like to join a session, please book one ticket for each person attending. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
  • Please only book this session if you are also booking Bug Farm entrance tickets for the same day.
  • This session is generally suitable for adults and children 4 years-old and over. Spaces are limited, so we highly recommend booking this session in advance. This is an experience not to be missed!
  • If you or a member of your party has known severe allergies to invertebrates, we would advise that person to either not book onto an up close session or to get in touch with us to discuss further.
  • We reserve the right to cancel these sessions up until the start-time of the session and will, in the case of cancellation, offer a full refund for the session.
